- I've downloaded WSFinger which includes two files: wsfinger.exe and
- wsfinger.doc. When I try to run it my computer says it can't find the file or
- one of its components is missing: check filename and path. I'm running it
- like I've run the rest of my WS applications, so I'm not sure what the problem
- is. Am I missing something?

- Subject: Looking for IRC Client which is IRC-II compatible
-
- Greetings,
-
- I am looking for a Winsock-compliant IRC client, which is compatible with
- the IRC-II Unix standard. I have a copy of winirc.exe, but none of the
- commands I know will work, because that version is NOT IRC-II compatible.
- Help???? Please E-Mail me if you can help.
-
- Thanks in advance

- Who's Windows Sockets DLL are you using? The specification
- does not prescribe where the Services and Protocols database
- files should be or their format, so differences exist between
- different WinSock implementations.
-
- The BSD 4.3 model (on which WinSock is based) has these files
- in /etc. Our WinSock works this way (actually C:\ETC) by
- default, although it can be configured otherwise (with a
- "etc-dir=<path>" entry in the [pctcp general] section of
- your PCTCP.INI file).
